Design to Driveway is a limited-edition book series by David Burrell, celebrating Australia’s rich automotive design history through rare factory images and behind-the-scenes stories from the 1950s to the 1970s. With each volume restricted to just 750 individually numbered copies, the books needed a strong visual identity and an effective way to reach and engage passionate enthusiasts. Frank Moore Advertising was engaged to design the book covers, build the online store, and create the promotional campaign.
We created distinctive cover designs for the four-volume series that reflected the premium, collectible nature of the books. We also developed and managed the eCommerce website, providing a seamless platform for enthusiasts to order the books, and produced promotional assets including eDMs, digital display banners, magazine ads and press releases.
The Design to Driveway series quickly sold out, underscoring the demand for authentic stories from Australia’s motoring heritage and the success of the integrated design and marketing approach.
